SAIC shorten the Substantial Examination Period of Extension of International Trademark Registration
In order to effectively improve the quality and efficiency of the substantive examination of the territorial extension of the international registration of trademarks, the SAIC has significantly shortened the time for review of international treaty provisions. The current territorial extension review cycle is regulated by international treaties for 12 months. The time was shortened to 7 months, and the 18-month review time set by international treaties was shortened to 10 months. It is expected that the end of July this year, the international treaty provisions for 12 months can be further shortened to 6 months; at the end of November this year, the limit of 18 months can be shortened to 6 months.
